Abstract

This contribution marks the beginning of an in-depth study of the archeological complex “I Monti”, an important artisan settlement in Val di Sieve discovered by chance in the 1980s and investigated in the following decade. The aim is to clarify the chronological phases and the productive characteristics in the light of the most recent discoveries in the ancient Florentine-Fiesolan countryside and the Po Valley area, with which significant connections can be found.
