Monumenti Antichi - Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei
Monumenti Antichi (1951-1966)
This collection, begun in 1890 and edited by the Reale Accademia dei Lincei, was published by the Hoepli publishing house of Milan. Forty volumes, now out of stock, appeared between 1890 and 1945. Publication was suspended in 1946 and resumed in 1951, this time directly by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. From 1971 onwards, the Monumenti Antichi have been divided into two parallel series, each with its own numbering, whilst also maintaining the overall numbering: the Serie Miscellanea (Miscellaneous Series) and Serie Monografica (Monographic Series). Publication is overseen by an Editorial Committee of members of the Accademia dei Lincei, together with a member representing the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Monumenti Antichi. Serie Miscellanea (1971- ) (ISSN 0391-8084) The Serie Miscellanea illustrates individual monuments or groups of ancient art works, or studies ancient documents of particular importance, published in instalments that eventually make up a volume
Monumenti Antichi. Serie Monografica (1979- ) (ISSN 0391-8092) La Serie Monografica hosts definitive critical editions of excavations of major archaeological sites that may require one or more successive volumes
